  • The State Government is investing $3 million for the establishment of an iconic visitor precinct in Nilpena's Ediacara Conservation Park as part of the Parks 2025 program.
  • This project involves the creation of a world-class fossil experience in the northern Flinders Ranges, showcasing the state’s unique Ediacaran fossils, which are 550 million years old and are internationally recognised.
  • An immersive interpretive centre in the former blacksmith shop at Nilpena station will be created, in addition to accommodation (in existing shearer’s quarters), and a functions and venue space (in the old woolshed).
