- The Schools with Internet Fibre Technologies (SWiFT) initiative ensures every public school, preschool, teacher and student will have access to high-speed reliable internet – regardless of location.
- Since December 2018, over 500 schools across South Australia (including 8 in the APY Lands), have been connected with reliable and high speed fibre-optic internet through the SWiFT program.
- This initiative equips educators with the resources and tools they need to deliver a world-class education to prepare students for the jobs of the future.
- 99% of the state’s public schools are now connected with high-speed fibre optic internet connectivity and this initiative has provided high-speed internet for over 180,000 students and 23,000 teachers who are now benefiting from the roll out.
