  • This jointly funded project with The Barossa Council is for a new oval, changerooms, cricket practice nets, extended clubrooms to grow grassroots sports participation and cater for predicted growth across multiple codes at the Angas Recreation Park.
  • The State Government has contributed $907,770 to this project.
  • Regional participation in football (including women's competition), cricket and netball is growing at an unprecedented rate. Angaston Football Club has over 160 juniors, the Barossa & Light Cricket Association has experienced rapid growth and the region is expected to experience one of the largest percentage population growth of all SA regions by 2026.
  • These new facilities will cater for this increasing demand and drive participation and growth from grassroots to adult grades across the codes.
