*The $5.8 million investment represents State and Federal investment for all stages of the project.
Stage 1 is for the construction of a brand new modular multi-purpose community sporting facility that caters for all site users and includes unisex change rooms, community social spaces, player and spectator amenities, umpire and official areas, administration spaces, storage and more.
This is a jointly funded project with the Alexandrina Council. The State Government has contributed $800,000 for Stage 1 and the Federal Government has contributed $5 million to the overall project.
Once the full project is completed, the Goolwa and wider Alexandrina community will have new netball and tennis courts and cricket training facilities as well as improved car parking, road and pedestrian links and open space with barbecues and seating.
This project provides a comprehensive multi-purpose community sporting facility for the benefit of residents and the wider region.
