Balaklava’s Pool for All is a $3.2 million project to inject new life into a much-loved swimming facility and deliver new attractions for the whole community. Since Balaklava pool was closed in May 2020, hundreds of local residents have missed out on swimming and recreation opportunities, or had to travel to find them.
The project will completely replace the 25 metre pool to bring it to modern standards, supporting more than 1000 students who were participating in swimming lessons each year. A new splash pad will be created to excite young children, while the Learn to Swim pool will be upgraded. Disability access will cement the pool’s place as a wonderful venue for all to enjoy: for fitness, fun, competition or relaxation.
