• $105 million

The Road Safety Package provides $105 million in 2022-23 to improve road safety across South Australia. Safety measures will include shoulder sealing, audio tactile line marking, physical barriers to prevent run-off road crashes and median treatments to prevent head on vehicle collisions.

This is in addition to previously provided funding, bringing the total funding to $315.0 million with works to be undertaken from 2020-21 to 2022-23.

The package is jointly funded (on an 80:20 basis) by the Australian ($84 million) and South Australian ($21 million) governments.
