• $2.06 million
  • The City of Whyalla has been announced to receive $2.06 million from the State Government's Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program.
  • The project is to support and develop a pristine and fragile coastline to position Whyalla as a year-round destination valued for its environment, recreation and lifestyle experiences.
  • It includes updated campsites; protecting fragile ecosystems, native vegetation and groundwater; contemporary interpretive signage and walking trails; improved coastal access; built and natural landscaping; protection of state heritage; and respect of its indigenous people, culture and heritage.
  • The Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program was established to support councils to accelerate spending on community infrastructure projects that contribute to the future economic growth of the region, or support the Government’s Growth State agenda, or improve local infrastructure facilities for businesses and community organisations to enable them to grow in the future, or upgrade key community facilities.
